If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing retreat in nature, you have found the right place.
Please read over our Guest Rules below before booking your stay.
Guest Rules (Vacation Rental)
Disclosed guests only.
Up to 12 contracted guests will be allowed to stay. #13-14 will include extra charges. All adults must include their names and phone numbers during booking. Extra visitors and large groups are not allowed.
Treat our home kindly.
We have worked extremely hard to build this space and make it a wonderful place for others to enjoy. Please be careful to keep the home and its surrounding property in good condition. Be gentle with decorations, and make sure to clean off any sand or dirt before coming inside or using the hot tub.
Please do not climb on any of the outdoor features. Our Zen Garden also has some beautiful and fragile Koi Fish. For their safety, please stay out of the ponds and keep sunscreen or bug spray far away from the Koi ponds (they could get very sick).
No surprise events.
This home is ideal for meditation retreats and gatherings of family and friends. The owner lives on the property and is available to answer questions, issues about the home or local places to visit. Undisclosed extra guests, weddings* or wild parties are absolutely not permitted. (*SPECIAL EVENTS ARE ONLY PERMITTED WITH THE EXPRESSED WRITTEN CONTRACTS OF THE OWNER. Please see “Weddings and Events” section for details.)
Conserve resources.
We are on a well system, and CA is currently in a drought, so we have a limited amount of water. Please take short showers and limit washing machine usage if possible.
No pets or young children.
In order to maintain the safety of our guests, we do not allow any pets or children under age 6 on the property. The outdoor area includes ponds, rocky areas, and bridges that could be dangerous for children. The inside of the house also has fragile decorations that could be damaged by pets or small children, which could result in potential safety hazards. The design of the home is best suited for adults and older teenagers.
Service animals always welcome.
Take care of the forest.
Staying here will give you the opportunity to explore many acres of forest and be in the heart of nature. We ask that you follow the Leave No Trace Rule, and not disturb any wildlife or damage any of the plants that reside in the forest. Please take any trash you bring with you back to the house. We are all guests in the forest, so be sure to be respectful to the redwood ecosystem.
Also noted, we have a small garden of fairy and angel figurines a little ways into the trail, and we ask that you please leave them where they are.
